Son of derby winner 'Super Saver' raced both wide and evenly in his return sprint at Del Mar Aug 30. Trainer Dave Hoffmans drops him in half and colt meets a weak looking group.
2nd pick: #7 (Alltheleavesrbrown) (4-1) - Another stretching back out, he tired Sept 12 at Los Alamitos going 6.5-furlongs at this level. He's worked fast twice since and is racing second off a Doug O'Neill claim.
3rd pick: #1 (Lucky Shoes to Win) (6-1) - The main speed, he's racing off almost an eight week break. Very quick from the gate, he has the rail, is working well, and is dangerous if allowed to open an easy early lead.
4th pick: #3 (All Star Parade) (4-1) - Colt rated, bid to contend, then weakened under pressure to finish third here at this tag and trip Sept 3. Home bred can factor, but needs to do better for any shot at the top prize.
