Son of 'Tiznow' finished 2nd at this mile trip Aug. 25th at Del Mar and is training fine for this attempt. His experience at this distance gives him a slight edge.
2nd pick: #5 (Troublewithatee) (5-1) - Colt stretches out in distance and does so with blinkers added. He tired while very wide in his well backed debut sprinting at Del Mar Sept. 4th. Purchased for $130K this past March, he's a threat at a square price.
3rd pick: #6 (Bobby G) (8-1) - The second of the O'Neill pair, he ran both wide and evenly in the same Del Mar debut as 'Troublewithatee.' Colt by 'Awesome Again' cost $300,000 this past April and is bred to enjoy the longer distance he travels in this spot.
4th pick: #7 (Big Hit) (6-1) - From the same barn (Phil D'Amato) as 'Troublewithatee,' he ran evenly after some early traffic issues in the same last race as several of today's rivals. Son of 'Super Saver' cost $360,000 as a yearling and is another that should like the added distance.
