It was his first on the grass and a career best. A repeat of that effort makes him tough in this spot.
2nd pick: #2 (Atypique) (2-1) - Home bred by 'Tapit' ran a bit 'head-strong' here going a mile May 13. He disappointed that afternoon as the heavy favorite following a pair of 2nd place finishes to begin his career. Trainer Rick Mandella is dropping him into a claimer and cutting him back in distance. A strong win candidate.
3rd pick: #4 (Spanish Hombre) (6-1) - He's racing first of a Craig Lewis claim and has several other changes. Barn switches him from dirt to grass, moves him up in class, and is adding blinkers. Lewis replaces apprentice Panicucci with veteran Kent Desormeaux. Speedy longshot should be involved from start-to-finish.
4th pick: #5 (Name for the Blame) (6-1) - Away very slowly here May 8, he was never involved at any point. It was his first since finishing 3rd when debuting in Ireland Dec. 18th. It's of note that Bejarano is getting aboard.
