A $255K purchase, trainer Mark Glatt is dropping him into a claimer, and this 3yo showed good early speed last outfacing tougher. He's bred to like the turf and enters off a very fast half-mile work May 20.
2nd pick: #4 (Outlaw) (6-1) - He was a 'winner' here by a 'head' going a mile on the dirt for a $25K price tag April 20, but was disqualified and placed 2nd. Speedy sort moves back to the grass, doubles back up in price, and he finished a close up 4th here at this level and distance on the lawn Jan. 26. The 4yo is dangerous in this spot.
3rd pick: #9 (Tequila Blanco) (7-2) - This 5yo tired late to finish 4th after pressing a solid pace here at this tag and trip April 13. It was his fist start since Sept. 20, and he's now been competitive in five of six on the grass at this level.
4th pick: #5 (Resident Liberal) (8-1) - No-speed type rallied to finish 2nd here at this tag and trip Feb. 28, but in his follow up he ran evenly while beaten five lengths under similar conditions April 13. A fast and/or contested pace would help his chances out.
