Top pick: #1 (FORDHAM ROAD) - The probable favorite, 5-year-old has finished second in his last two starts, both coming on this course at this level and distance. Trainer John Shirreffs has him stringing starts together and has worked him four times since he ran second here on Feb. 5. The horse to beat.
2nd pick: #3 (Dynamize) - Gelding by "Dynaformer" cost $610K and will be racing for only the second time since last June. 4-year-old rallied to finish second last out in a 6.5 furlong comtest at this level going "down the hill" on Jan. 15. Working both frequently and above average for this attempt and trainer Mike Puype will stretch him out a bit today.
3rd pick: #5 (Gunga Galunga) - Home-bred by "Street Cry" showed good early speed before tiring when debuting here at this distance on Feb. 5. 4-year-old was 6 lengths back of "Fordham" that day, but has come back with a trio of fast works ans should be involved from start to finish at a nice price.
