2nd pick: #5 (Ward 'n Jerry) (10-1) - Price play has been on the sidelines since late December. Well backed in both starts, he ran evenly in both. Home bred has a nice work pattern and can factor at a big price.
3rd pick: #1 (Skookum Spirit) (6-1) - Lightly-raced, he just missed last out at this level and distance at Los Alamitos April 14. He has early speed, breaks from the rail, and Tommy Town home-bred must be left in the mix.
4th pick: #6 (Monterey Shale) (5-2) - One of four making their debuts, he has the best works of that group and is in a capable first out barn (Carl Gaines 12%). It's noted that Bejarano is aboard.
