Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #4 (HOLLYWOOD STRIKE) (7-2) - He's racing second back from a pair of layoffs and is making back-to-back starts for the first time since the spring. Speed/stalker set a solid pace before weakening to finish 2nd at this level going a mile at Del Mar Nov. 24. It was a nice all around effort, and he gets a slight edge here with a repeat of it.
2nd pick: #5 (Antioch) (6-1) - Colt is racing first off a Gerard Piccioni claim, and he moves him back up in class while stretching him out in distance. Speedy sort has been competitive in all five sprints, is working both steadily and above average, and should be involved from gate-to-wire at a square price.
3rd pick: #1 (Momma's Baby Boy) (4-1) - Colt raced evenly when finishing 3rd, just a bit over a length in back of 'Hollywood Strike' last out. He has the rail again, and it's a plus that Mike Smith is back on the re-ride.
4th pick: #7 (Ziconic) (3-1) - The first foal of champion mare 'Zenyatta' has been a major disappointment. No speed runner by top sire 'Tapit' has picked up minor awards in five of seven starts on the dirt and will need a fast and/or contested pace for anything more than that in this spot. Newly turned 5yo must be left in the mix.
