2nd pick: #7 (Nats Nation) (5-1) - One of two entered by trainer Mike Puype, he tired while racing wide debuting against better Dec 19 at Los Alamitos. He was bumped at the break that afternoon and can factor with a 'trouble free' beginning.
3rd pick: #9 (Alamo Pintado) (6-1) - He improved his position last out when checking in sixth of nine, beaten 3 1/2 lengths facing $30K 'open' maiden claimers here just 16 days ago.
