He was a 1/2 length behind today's rival 'Coil Me Home' that afternoon and has since come back with a bullet half-mile work March 13. He gets a slight edge.
2nd pick: #7 (Coil Me Home) (3-1) - As mentioned above he was a 1/2 length better than 'Fashionably Fast' here Feb 15. It was a big improvement over his Jan 15 debut and colt is an obvious win candidate.
3rd pick: #2 (Baby Gronk) (4-1) - Bet down to favoritism when debuting Aug 11 at Del Mar, he lost all chance when he bobbled and had traffic issues soon after the break. Claimed that afternoon by Bill Spawr for $50,000, he has him working fast and must be left in the mix.
4th pick: #3 (Gringo Star) (8-1) - Home bred is racing 3rd back from a three month break, switches from grass to dirt, and does so with blinkers removed. Speed/stalker may grab a share at a big price.
