2nd pick: #3 (Scuderia) (3-1) - NEW gelding ran both very wide and evenly when debuting March 5 at Gulfstream Park. He's working well for his first on the west coast and he has a new trainer (Mike McCarthy). The presence of Bejarano is noted.
3rd pick: #7 (Southern Pharoah) (3-1) - From the Baffert barn, colt did not have the best of trips when finishing third when debuting on the dirt at Los Alamitos April 17. He's worked fast since and is switched to the grass for this attempt. Must be left in the mix.
4th pick: #1 (Inhibition) (12-1) - Longshot cost $270K and has been a big disappoint to date. He has a bit of speed and is racing on the grass for the first time. Bred for the surface, he may grab a share at a big price.
