He cleared the 2l condition hat afternoon and has worked fast since at Los Alamitos. He's moving up a bit in price, but is still the the top selection.
2nd pick: #1 (Prince Valiant) (8-5) - 4yo won a high-level starter-allowance here going six furlongs May 6. In his follow up start June 4 he raced evenly at this level after having trouble at the start and traffic issues right after that. An obvious win candidate at a short price.
3rd pick: #3 (Aikau) (5-1) - Lightly raced 5yo ships back from Los Alamitos where he was sharp in a pair of short contests facing both thoroughbreds and quarter-horses. He had gone 5-1-2-2 racing both here and at Los Alamitos at the longer distance and seems the best alternative if you don't like 'Wade' or 'Prince Valiant.'
