Race was originally scheduled for the grass but was switched to the main track. Claimed that afternoon by Dave Jacobson, he switches him to the grass and has him nicely spotted. Colt gets a slight edge.
2nd pick: #9 (Joejoe's Kingdom) (4-1) - Another trying the grass for the first time, he broke his maiden here sprinting 5.5 furlongs on the main track for a $50K tag Jan 25. Much improved in his last pair, gelding by 'Animal Kingdom' should handle the grass and is a strong win candidate.
3rd pick: #3 (For Him) (7-2) - He's back on the grass for only the 2nd time. He set a quick pace before tiring late to finish 4th in a $100K grass stakes here going a mile Oct 9. He's regressed in his last pair on the dirt, but is working fast and must be left in the mix.
4th pick: #6 (Walk On Water) (10-1) - Longshot has solid early speed and is another on the grass for the first time. Competitive on both dirt and synthetic surfaces so far I see no reason why he won't handle the turf. Capable of impacting at a big price.
