2nd pick: #8 (Cat's American Pie) (2-1) - The second of the Asmussen trained pair, he's the morning line and probable favorite. He checked in 2nd here at this level Oct 5 which followed a third place finish at it in his previous attempt. A very strong win candidate.
3rd pick: #1 (Jerry's Got Aces) (5-2) - He finished second here Sept. 20 and was 1.5 lengths in front of 'Cat's American Pie' that evening. In his follow up going a mile Oct. 17, he tired late to miss by almost 3 lengths as a heavy favorite. Back sprinting today, he has the rail and must be left in the mix.
4th pick: #2 (Mule Skinner) (6-1) - Speedy and lightly raced, he was only a 'nose' behind 'Jerry's Got Aces' here Aug. 29, but tired badly in his follow up to be 10 lengths in back of that rival. Colt runs third of a long layoff and his early speed must be respected.
