2nd pick: #9 (Smokey Blue Canoe) (6-1) - Grey gelding ran evenly when finishing fifth of 11, beaten just over 7 lengths racing here at this level going 6 furlongs Oct. 28. It was only his second start back following a 10 month layoff and he draws a nice outside post for this 7 furlong test.
3rd pick: #2 (Seventy and Seven) (4-1) - Yet another that's been racing evenly, he was beaten 6.5 lengths here Nov. 9 facing tougher $10K 'open' claimers. That field was much better than this and he must be left in a three horse win mix.
