Premium Pick

Top pick: #6 (LOUIES FLOWER) (5-2) - Son of "Flower Alley" has been competitive in both starts and has shown excellent early speed in each. He runs off a seven week freshening and draws just outside of his main rival in what looks like a two-horse race on paper.

2nd pick: #5 (Dial Up) (2-1) - Obvious contender, colt set a fast and pressured pace when debuting here on Aug. 17, and held gamely to finish a distant second to a "much the best" winner. Freshened up since then by trainer Steve Asmussen, and Farish home-bred is working on the quick side for his return.

3rd pick: #7 (Mass and Energy) (6-1) - Gelding ran evenly when debuting at Canterbury on Sept. 13 and has worked fast on this surface since shipping south. In a capable barn (Chuck Turco) and this 2-year-old by "Einstein" should improve second-time out.

4th pick: #3 (From Day One) (10-1) - Debuting Texas-bred is from a very good barn (Jack Bruner) that wins at a 22% rate first out. Colt is working above average and could impact if ready.
