2nd pick: #3 (Early Ride) - Gelding has been bet down to favoritism in both appearances and tired last out to finish a close up fifth after being involved in a speed-duel. Texas-bred had missed by a head in his debut and has a pair of sharp recent half-mile works heading into this.
3rd pick: #5 (Bruver Max) - Price play tired in his debut after being sent hard from a tough outside post and this son of the successful "Posse" draws a much better starting slot today. Can impact at a square price.
4th pick: #6 (Casper the Cat) - The second of the Richard pair, colt is well-bred and is working fast for his first public appearance. Barn wins at a 20% rate with debuting stock and this home-bred by "Discreet Cat" had a bullet 5-furlong gate drill here on Nov. 1.
