Top Pick: #8 Ted Noffey (4-5) - Some dazzling speed numbers for this horse, in addition to three wins (two Grade 1) in three races. Ted Noffey won the Breeders' Futurity by 2 3/4-lengths, and the Hopeful Stakes by 8 1/2-lengths. Hall of Fame jockey John Velazquez was atop in both of those and will be again.
2nd Pick: #2 Blackout Time (5-1) - Blackout Time came close to Ted Noffey in the last race, finishing second in the Grade 1 Breeders' Futurity at Keeneland. Securing the No. 2 position is a nice bonus.
3rd Pick: #7 Brant (5-2) - Bob Baffert's Brant has won two races in two tries. Making the jump from a maiden race to a Grade 1 the last time out was no problem, winning the Del Mar Futurity. Even bumping Brigante right out of the gate didn't throw the horse off, winning by 5 1/4 lengths.
