Top Pick: #6 Invictus (9-5) - The son of Kentucky Oaks Winner Serengeti Empress, Invictus impressed the last time out, winning at Keeneland in his second career start for trainer Brad Cox. He broke well and settled in the third position, got shuffled to the outside around the far turn, but made a nice move overcoming the two horses ahead of him. Jockey Flavien Prat kept Invictus focused, and the colt responded, pulling away to win by 2 1/2 lengths. Prat will be atop again.
2nd Pick: #2 Bestfriend Rocket (15-1) - Bestfriend Rocket stepped up to the Grade 1 Arkansas Derby the last time out and wasn't ready for prime time, finishing eighth. It was also the longest race of his career. Before that, at this 1 1/16 distance, Bestfriend Rocket won three races and finished third once. This sleeper has had a nice rest, running in the Arkansas Derby on March 29.
3rd Pick: #7 Hymn (4-1) - This 3-year-old colt stepped up to a longer distance the last time out and ran fourth in the Bathhouse Row Stakes. Hymn has been consistent, winning at Oaklawn with a maiden victory followed by a close second-place finish in an Allowance.
