Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #8 (BOONE STATION) (7-2) - The successful NYRA barn of trainer Linda Rice always has a presence here and she won with her only previous starter on Monday in the second day of this lengthy meet. This gelding has been competitive on both dirt and turf and last out finished second on a sloppy surface at Belmont May 6. It was his first race in seven months and he should beat this group, but it's a big field so make sure you reverse your exactas for a few dollars.
2nd pick: #11 (Red Hot Looks) (8-1) - Very fast from he gate, he runs with lasix administered and with blinkers added. Colt has faced tougher in all four starts and is a threat to go wire-yo-wire in this spot.
3rd pick: #1 (Super Causeway) (3-1) - He's coupled in the wagering with #1a-English Ruler and both horses have solid shots. This Laurel shipper has early speed and is moving from turf to 'poly' and is shortening up in distance. His career best came here Sept. 5 in his only previous race on a synthetic surface.
4th pick: #9 (Super Humor) (10-1) - The field's only filly faces a tough task against this pretty well bred group of males. She ran well in a pair of starts a year ago, but was sent in for a long layoff and she misbehaved in her eturn start at Thistledown April 29. Can factor in her second back.
5th pick: #7 (Hope is Best) (15-1) - He's finished second in six of nine starts here at Presque Isle. Working well he's raced very poorly in his first pair this year at Keeneland. Can impact at a big price in his return to a 'poly' surface.
