Premium Pick
(# 1) YANKEE PRIDE - Maiden race for three and up is essentially for all threes as the only older runner signed on is the No. 10 horse. "Pride" raced twice at two, finishing second at a mile at Laurel, then getting dusted in a two-turn race at Delaware, won by non-other than Chelokee (see Saturday's Barbaro Stakes). Sent to the sidelines after that loss, colt was not seen again until Apr. 22 this year at Pimlico when he dueled for the lead and tired late, finishing second to the four-year-old Jane's Kid. Draws the rail and can save all the ground and make a late run.

(# 9) HELSINKI - Logical favorite and very short price are assured, probably 4/5 or less. Runners figures tower over these, but there are some significant hurdles to overcome. Colt's close in last at Gulfstream may have been a bit enhanced by the swift fractions that ensued. Today's pace scenario will be more pedestrian and runner tackles a distance and two-turns for the initial time. That said he may just toy with these off the last figure.

The Plays: $10 to win and place on #1.
$6 exacta box on 1-9.
Total Wager = $32.00.
