Top pick: #6 (JOHNNY LOVE NOTE) (3-1) - He enters off a solid second place finish here facing a bit tougher, going 5.5 furlongs. That was his first off a Ramon Preciado claim, and he drops him back down to the purchase price and stretches him out in distance.
2nd pick: #9 (Our Bailiwick) (8-1) - Speedy sort tired badly here on Aug. 5th racing at this level going 5.5 furlongs, and has been freshened up for the past six weeks. He draws a nice outside post to "gun" from and can factor at a square price.
3rd pick: #1 (Lestrade) (10-1) - He had no chance last out after breaking from the 10 post going two-turns on a muddy surface on Sep. 2nd. Trainer Phil Aristone will cut him back in distance, and once classier 4yo draws the rail.
4th pick: #5 (Cryptonite Palace) (4-1) - He rallied to finish third here in a small field (6), going six furlongs here on Aug. 20th. Fine effort came in his second back from a five month layoff, and trainer Penny Pearce has him set for this longer attempt.
