Top pick: #5 (MAD MAGIC) (5-2) - The probable favorite, mare cuts back in distance after missing by a neck on Feb 16th going a mile at this level. She's never raced at 6 furlongs, but on Jan 6th finished 2nd here going 6.5 panels. There's lots of speed signed on to help her style out and she's the horse to beat.
2nd pick: #6 (Strike a Punch) (8-1) - Clearly the main speed, grey filly by "Two Punch" runs today off a claim by Cyndi Reese and she's been claimed now in three stgraight. Price play is more than capable, especially if #7 The Queen's Reign leaves her alone early on.
3rd pick: #7 (The Queen's Reign) (4-1) - Another with a lot of speed, but unlike "Punch" she has the ability to rate a bit. Grey 4yo tries hard every time out and has made the difficult switch from the Woodbine "poly" to the Philly dirt without hurting her form.
4th pick: #1 (Virginia Ann) (6-1) - She part of an entry with #1a "Wellingtons Appeal and they have separate riders listed. Well-bred filly has been freshened up since early Jan and she's working very fast for her return. Spedd/stalker draws the rail and must be left in the mix.
