2nd pick: #6 (Southern Star) - Good barn (Ron Werner) has had this colt on the sidelines since Dec. 11 when he finished a close-up 4th here at this price in his second lifetime start. Trainer has breezed him four times in the past month and he looks well-prepared for his return.
3rd pick: #2 (Assured Victory) - Home-bred by "Victory Gallop" hasn't shown much in four starts in New York, but they've all come facing tougher. Drops in half for his first race on this surface, first off a trainer switch, and he has a bullet work from the gate here on March 2.
