(# 3) OFFICER ROCKET - Trainer Bob Holthus won this race last year with Lawyer Ron who now resides in the Todd Pletcher barn. Colt showed significant ability at two, in winning a pair of stakes at Arlington Park before he was given some time off. When brought back later in 2006 he just did not fire in two starts, one each at Churchill and Delta Downs. Came back at Oaklawn in a sprint stakes, performed well then moved forward in the Southwest Stakes where he finished second to Teufelsberg. Was soundly beaten by Curlin in his next race when running second again. Trainer has turned up his training lately with two sizzling five-furlong works. There is quite a bit of speed signed on in here and maybe he can sit towards the inside and upset this group with a late rally up the inside.

(#' 2) CURLIN - Who knows how much talent he really has? Off the initial pair, this colt could prove to be something very special, or he might regress. The two victories were visually impressive to say the least. I guess we will find out today.
