Top pick: #5 (THIS IS ELIZA) - Lightly-raced filly set/pressed a fast pace and held gamely to finish second here at this level on Sept. 3 in her first since July 15th and only her second in 10 months. 4-year-old has worked since and will be making back-to-back starts for the first time since last Nov. The horse to beat.
2nd pick: #6 (Street Mate) - Ellis Park invader hasn't been the same since breaking her maiden in late March at Aqueduct. She's been facing tougher, has some speed, and could win this if she returns to her best form.
3rd pick: #3 (Athabasca) - Daughter of the late "Gone West" is working nicely for her first start since July 4th when she raced very poorly on the Presque Isle "poly". Capable, and she would benefit from a fast/and or contested pace.
