Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #7 (LORD ADARE) (5-1) - Colt finished a pace-pressing fourth of 10, eaten just under 3 lengths at this level and distance Aug. 31 at Del Mar. He's been in with a pair of strong fields in both attempts and I give him a small edge.
2nd pick: #1 (Speed Pass) (2-1) - A first timer from the barn of Bob Baffert, a 44% winning angle since Jan. 1 of 2018, gelding is working fast and this $150K 3yo by 'Bodemeister' is a win candidate.
3rd pick: #4 (Stable Genius) (12-1) - Longshot showed good early speed before tiring badly when debuting at Del Mar Aug. 31. He was almost 14 lengths behind 'Lord Adare', but may hang on much better today in his second attempt.
4th pick: #3 (The Longest Night) (9-2) - Competitive in all four starts, he tired late to finish fourth after setting a pressure pace going 8.5 furlongs on the Del Mar grass July 27. He had finished second all three dirt sprints prior to that and must be left in the mix.
