When last in action, 3-year-old missed by a 1/2 length going 8.5 furlongs going 8.5 furlongs at this level June 10 at Santa Anita. Working fast and filly gets a slight edge.
2nd pick: #5 (Tension) (4-1) - Home bred filly by top sire 'Tapit' has been away since last December. She rallied to finish third here at this level in a sprint and trainer Bob Bafert (22% off of long layoffs) has worked her a half-dozen times locally since Aug 7.
3rd pick: #8 (Untouchable U) (7-2) - Four-year-old stretches out in distance in her second back of eight months on the sidelines. She tired to finish a distant third in her return Aug 26 and that race gives her a big recency edge on he top two selections.
4th pick: #9 (Lady Pamela) (5-1) - Another daughter of 'Tapit', she raced both wide and evenly when debuting in a Del Mar sprint Aug 6. Bred to like this longer distance, look for an improved effort from her in this spot.
