He's gone 4-2-2-0 since then and was a sharp winner at this distance facing a bit weaker Aug. 22nd. He's worked three times since and won his only previous local start July 3. The horse to beat.
2nd pick: #1 (Downtown C T) (5-1) - Speedy sort has the rail and runs first off an Alf Marquez claim. The distance is his favorite (7-3-2-1), and this in-shape runner is dangerous on the lead.
3rd pick: #6 (Rocko's Wheel) (3-1) - Lightly raced 3yo has won three of five starts on conventional dirt and is working fast for his first since Aug. 2nd. Stretch threat despite facing mostly older foes.
4th pick: #3 (Solid Wager) (4-1) - No speed type has been on the sidelines since July 31. Fits at the level, but will need some pace help for anything more than a small slice of this.
