Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #6 (BOY HOWDY) (4-1) - He was a winner here at this distance June 29 before a pair at Del Mar where he had solid excuses. His stalking style fits well and he should get a fast/and or contested pace to close into. I give him a slight edge.
2nd pick: #4 (Tiz Love) (5-2) - He's shortening up in distance while racing first off a Steve Miyadi claim (18%). Four of his six lifetime wins have come at this trip and the new barn has him racing without blinkers.
3rd pick: #1 (Ridgefield Rocket) (3-1) - The main speed, he ships from Emerald Downs where he was an easy winner June 15 before tiring to finish 3rd in his follow up July 13. 4yo has the rail, fits with these, and is a threat on the front end.
4th pick: #2 (Gutsy Ruler) (7-2) - Old time is switching from grass to dirt and is taking a big drop in class in his third start back following almost a two year layoff. 8yo must be left in the mix.
