Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #6 (MO HAWK) (8-5) - One of two entered by trainer Bob Bafert and both are making their first starts. This colt by 'Uncle Mo' sold for $925,000 last Sep and has some very fast works at Del Mar on view. Baffert wins at a 43% rate first out in 2018-19 and this colt looks all set.
2nd pick: #1 (Dodger) (7-2) - The second of the Baffert trained pair, this son of 'Bayern' sold for $140,000 this past April as a 2yo in training. His works aren't as fast as 'Mo Hawk', but several of the drills are way above average and this debuting runner completes a strong hand from the 'Hall of Fame' trainer.
3rd pick: #3 (Moon Mischief) (3-1) - This home bred by 'Into Mischief' has been in steady training at Del Mar since late July. His latest work, a sharp half-mile from the gate Aug. 31 indicates that speed is present, and he's from a barn (John Sadler) 16% first out that had a very strong meet at Del Mar.
