Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #7 (ARISTOCRATIC) (2-1) - One of two making their debuts for trainer Bob Baffert (22% first out). This son of 'Malibu Moon' cost high profile owner Kaleem Shah (he of 'American Pharoah' fame) $475,000 this past March as a 2-year-old in training. Colt has some impressive works on view and looks set to be competitive.
2nd pick: #9 (Leading Score) (3-1) - The second of the Baffert pair, colt is a home bred by the under-rated 'Midnight Lute.' He's worked a half-dozen times at Santa Anita since late October including a very impressive five-furlong bullet gate move (best of 61) the morning of Nov. 23.
3rd pick: #2 (Malibu Power) (15-1) - Mercedes Stable home bred tired badly after dueling through fast splits while between horses when debuting Nov. 6 at Santa Anita. He's worked fast twice since, has a good inside post, and should be involved every step at a big price.
4th pick: #3 (Invasion Looming) (10-1) - Longshot moves up in class after finishing a close up second Nov. 18 at Del Mar facing $62,500 maiden claimers. Well bred colt is clearly improving and is capable of getting a share at a square price.
