Speed/stalker had won three of four prior to that including a Ge at Mountaineer Park Aug. 4. Working fast locally, he has a tactical advantage and will be tough in this spot.
2nd pick: #6 (Hofburg) (3-1) - The only 3yo entered, he has talent and has unlimited potential at this point. Earlier this year he finished second in the G1 Florida Derby and 3rd in the Belmont Stakes (G1). A winner of Saratoga's Curlin Stakes at this distance July 27, the colt was working very fast before shipping from New York.
3rd pick: #3 (Hence) (8-1) - A very strong finisher, Multiple stakes winner rallied from far back to finish 3 1/2 lengths in back of 'Leofric' at Saratoga in the Woodward (G1) Sept. 1. He's 3-for-6 at this demanding 9-furlong trip and is a late threat with his normal effort.
