2nd pick: #3 (Samurai Cause) (7-2) - A $120,000 son of 'First Samurai', he makes his debut for the Asmussen barn (23% first out) in 2018-19. Colt enters off an above average half-mile gate work April 18 and draws a ground-saving post.
3rd pick: #6 (Apple Empire) (6-1) - From the quality operation of the racing/breeding Katie Rich Farms, this son of 'Empire Maker' has been training here since Feb. 19. Three of his last four drills are well above average and he's dangerous at a big price if ready.
