She won her Saratoga debut Aug. 12 going 6.5 furlongs by 8 lengths and earned a very high figure. Trainer Chad Brown had her skip the big races in the Fall and brought her back Feb. 2 going 7 furlongs in the Forward Gal Stakes (G3) at Gulfstream Park. She had to work much harder but did prevail by a 1/2 length in a three-horse win photo. Filly breezed fur times during March before shipping here and her outside post is a plus.
2nd pick: #3 (Queen of Beas) (4-1) - Talented daughter of 'Flatter', she missed by a 1/2 length when debuting Dec. 13 at Gulfstream, but has won both follow up starts and has earned high figures. One of those came at this distance and this $170,000 purchase is a win candidate.
3rd pick: #2 (Mother Mother) (5-2) - Santa Anita invader is from the Baffert barn and she's been competitive in all six starts on the So. California circuit. Speedy daughter of 'Pioneer of the Nile' has finished in a pair of stakes at this trip and must be left in the mix.
4th pick: #5 (Fancy Dress Party) (5-1) - She's won all three starts by daylight margins, including a $75K stakes going 6 furlongs Jan. 5 at Gulfstream. Unraced since, stalker fits, but her best figures to date suggest she'll need to step it up for any chance at winning this.
