Premium Pick

Top pick: #2 (NOBLE PEGASUS) (5-2) - Lightly-raced filly broke her maiden here on April 30th, then wasn't a factor two weeks later when she ran against entry-level allowance foes in her first facing winners. Capable barn (Randy Klopp) drops her way down and she moves from the 11 post to the rail. The horse to beat.

2nd pick: #11 (Maynelle) (7-2) - Home-bred faces winners today after an impressive gate-to-wire maiden win here on May 17th. Nicely spotted, she draws a good post out of the 6-furlong chute and is a win threat right back.

3rd pick: #9 (Austin's Senorita) (12-1) - Longshot runs third back from almost a seven month layoff and will be dropping down after a pair of even efforts facing tougher. Breeder/owner/trainer George Leonard had her work a bullet 3 furlongs at Turfway Park just several days ago.

4th pick: #5 (Lucky Charm) (12-1) - Another lightly-raced filly, she was an easy maiden winner here on May 1st in her first start since late Oct. Last out she tired badly after pressing the pace facing allowance foes and breeder/owner/trainer Larry Smith drops her way down for this attempt.

5th pick: #7 (Frosting) (8-1) - She's been in search of win No. 2 for a very long time, but although not a win candidate, she could grab a minor award with one of her better efforts. Strong finisher would love a fast/and or contested pace to develop.
