He'd been sharp in his previous starts (4-0-2-1), and this promising 3-year-old should beat this small group.
2nd pick: #6 (Sammy's Bandit) (7-2) - Gelding rallied to finish third sprinting on the Churchill dirt racing for a $50K tag May 18th in his first back from a two month freshening. Trainer Helen Pitts has worked him twice since and adds blinkers for this attempt. Stretch threat.
3rd pick: #4 (Mal Guapo) (5-2) - Excellent mid-size barn (Kellyn Gorder) ships this gelding in from Presque Isle where he finished a distant second to a "much the best" winner there racing on the "Tapeta" surface on May 27th. He's been sharp in two of his three outings and will be racing on conventional dirt for the first time in this appearance.
