Top pick: #6 (TOOLPUSHER) (3-1) - Son of "Tiznow" cost $300K as a yearling, and will be racing today for the first time since March 16th at the fair Grounds when he tired to finish fourth after chasing a fast pace. Working well at Churchill, and is the horse to beat.

2nd pick: #3 (Thanks Bro) (5-2) - Since coming off a 70 day freshening in late Jan., this colt by "Brother Derek" has finished second in four of five starts. Speed/stalker ships from Churchill in shape, and is in a very good barn (Larry Jones). Win candidate.

3rd pick: #1 (Proud Applause) (6-1) - Bred, owned, and trained by Lynne Scace, colt finished a solid third of seven, beaten just under two lengths sprinting here at this level on the grass July 24th. A career best, it came off a 6 1/2 month layoff, and he's worked at Turfway Park since.

4th pick: #5 (West Malibu) (12-1) - Longshot hasn't raced since early Dec., and well-bred gelding has a new trainer (Barb McBride 15% with new arrivals). Could grab a minor award at a big price, but a win seems to be out of his reach.
