Top pick: #6 (MISTER POLLARD) (4-1) - Colt finished fourth of nine, beaten just over 4 lengths when debuting at Churchill Downs on June 8th. He's worked fast since, jockey Jesus Castanon is back on the re-ride, and trainer Mike Lauer is having an outstanding meet.

2nd pick: #5 (Selway) (3-1) - From the barn of Steve Asmussen, colt is another coming from Kentucky where he's been in steady training at Churchill since late May. Son of "D'Wildcat" looks set for his debut.

3rd pick: #4 (Whyprolongtheagony) (9-2) - He's working well at Churchill, and colt by "Not For Love" is in a good barn (Steve Margolis). Those are the positives, with the negative eing the trainer's poor record with first-time starters.

4th pick: #8 (Maker's Time) (7-2) - Debuting gelding by "Posse" has been working well at Churchill for his debut and he's from a top barn (Donnie Von Hemel). With the action in Kentucky shifting to Ellis Park, jockey B.J. Hernandez is in from Churchill for the mount.
