TRINIANS) - Very lightly raced since coming here from her native England over two years ago she ran the race of her life here last June when she just failed to hold off eventual Horse of the Year "Zenyatta" in the G1 Vanity Hdcp. She returns to this surface for the first time since that day and is working nicely for trainer Mike Mitchell. Mare was competitive in a pair of important stakes at Santa Anita on the dirt earlier this year but is clearly better on synthetics. The top selection.
2nd pick: #1 (Tanda) - Talented 4-year-old is lightly raced and runs second back off a long layoff. Filly by "Sweetsouthernsaint" is working fast on this surface, has the rail, and fits on figures. Very tough with her best.
3rd pick: #7 (Ultra Blend) - Veteran mare is a synthetics specialist (11-7-1-2) and she's 3-for-4 on this surface. One-run type needs some pace help and also has to avoid a wide trip for any shot at the win.
