Top pick: #3 (COOK INLET) - Colt finished a strong second here at this distance Apr. 28th in his first start back off a 4 month layoff, and first on a synthetic surface. Trainer John Sadler has worked him three times since that effort and son of "Candy Ride" looks all set for his maiden win.
2nd pick: #8 (Patriot's Voyage) - Expensive son of "Awesome Again" set the pace and tired in the same race as Cook Inlet and finished off the board four lengths in back of that rival. Working nicely since and trainer Bob Baffert will remove his blinkers this afternoon. Contender, he's one of a pair entered by the trainer and they'll race uncoupled.
3rd pick: #4 (Ranchero) - The second of the Baffert pair has finished second in both outings and is training fast on this surface for his first start since Mar 3. Has good positional speed and will be racing around two turns for the first time. Can factor with his best.
