Top pick: #7 (ANGEL'S MOON) - Filly showed some good early speed and had some traffic issues turning for home before weakening in the last furlong to finish 8th of 11, beaten 6 1/2 lengths. Trainer Bruce Headley brings her back with blinkers on and 3-year-old has a sharp work at Santa Anita since her initial outing. Can improve this evening and is the choice in a difficult contest.
2nd pick: #6 (Tribal Charm) - Showed excellent early speed when debuting on the Santa Anita dirt Feb. 20, and is working very fast for her return. Daughter of "Tribal Rule" will race on a synthetic surface tonight and is a major threat if she takes to it.
3rd pick: #8 (Russian Bayou) - Daughter of "Eurosilver" rallied here at this level June 4th to finish 5th of 11 in her first start since early Oct. when she tired in a shorter contest. Good barn (Kristin Mulhall) has worked her three times since her return effort and this 7 furlong distance should be just right for her. Can impact at a big price.
