2nd pick: #11 (Syllabus) - Gelding finished a rallying third when debuting at Del Mar at this price Aug. 20. On the sidelines since he has four works on this surface in the last month and all are well-above average. Good barn has him set for a top effort.
3rd pick: #6 (Warren's Tommy Too) - Lightly raced, competitive, improving, and races third back off a 3 1/2 month layoff. One-run type has raced well in six of seven starts and most have come at this $25K tag. Presence of Pat Valenzuela is always a plus. Win candidate.
4th pick: #14 (Trueno) - Finished second at Del Mar at this tag and distance on Sept. 1 in his first race back off a 10 month layoff. Strong finisher is working nicely for this and draws a good post for the distance. He's almost six-years-old and is still looking for his first win, but fits this group and is a late threat.
