2nd pick: #1 (Archidust) (7-2) - This colt broke his maiden here going 7 furlongs Dec. 2. A $300,000 son of 'Verrazano', he's from the barn of leading trainer Jorge Navarro, has the rail, early speed, and has been working fast at the Palm Meadows center.
3rd pick: #4 (Award Winner) (5-2) - A home bred colt by 'Ghostzapper', he was a gate-to-wire 4.5 length maiden winner going a mile here on a sloppy surface Dec. 15. Only his second start, he breezed three times since at the Palm Meadows center and must be left in the mix.
4th pick: #2 (Borracho) (8-1) - This son of 'Uncle Mo' broke his maiden going a mile at Churchill Downs Sept. 15. He was over-matched next out in a G1, then finished 3rd at this level Nov. 24. Longshot worked a sharp 5 furlongs at Palm Meadows Jan. 5 and is capable of factoring at a big price.
