2nd pick: #2 (Belgrano) (7-2) - Lightly raced 5yo by 'War Front' rallied while wide to finish 3rd of eight, missing by just under two lengths Nov. 8. He missed by a 'head' at this level Aug. 8 at Saratoga and is a major player in this spot.
3rd pick: #7 (Resident Liberal) (9-2) - He had a perfect trip when finishing 2nd last out and was a length better than 'Belgrano.' 3yo draws another outside post and may not have as comfortable a journey this afternoon. A contender here, but he'll need some breaks to win this.
4th pick: #3 (Basha) (6-1) - Longshot has more natural speed than most entered and is moving up in class for this attempt. Competitive in three of his last four, he missed by a 'neck' for a $25K tag Aug. 14 at Saratoga, and the figure earned in that trio of runs puts him squarely in this.
