2nd pick: #5 (Gentle Ruler) (3-1) - The probable favorite, filly has been on the sidelines since finishing a distant 3rd at this level going 9 furlongs at Churchill Downs. 4yo has gone 11-0-3-5 on the grass and has been competitive against tougher fields that this many times in the past. A win candidate if ready.
3rd pick: #9 (Strike It Royal) (7-2) - A lightly raced and well-bred 4yo, she's been on the sidelines since Oct. 14. A 4yo daughter of 'Smart Strike' missed by a 'head' that day sprinting on the Woodbine turf and has a nice series of drills at Payson Park showing for her return.
4th pick: #7 (Monhegan) (4-1) - A home bred filly by 'English Channel', she's finished second and third in a pair of starts at this meet. One-run type doesn't have much speed so she'll need some pace help for a shot at the top prize.
