2nd pick: #2 (Alphadar) (2-1) - The morning line and probable favorite, he rallied while wide to finish 4th here at this level and distance Feb. 22. It was his first start in three months, his first outside of California, and his first on the grass. A strong win candidate.
3rd pick: #6 (Stag of Sylvia) (20-1) - This longshot had a very wide trip at this level and distance Jan. 30, then showed nothing in an 'off the turf' contest on a sloppy track Feb. 13. He's in a sharp barn (Marc Vitali), and I think this 4yo may be competitive at a big price.
4th pick: #8 (Codeseventyseven) (15-1) - He's racing on the grass for the first time, and this $200K purchase has some early speed. He's lightly raced and may be in this a long ways at juicy odds.
