It was her first race in three months, she's worked fast since, and trainer Jimmy Toner has John Velazquez aboard for the first time.
2nd pick: #2 (Miss Munnings) (5-2) - Mare has missed by less than a length in both starts at the meet. Stalker runs third back off a 7.5 month layoff and she's a very serious win candidate and I could have easily made her the top selection.
3rd pick: #3 (Queen Jill) (15-1) - Longshot raced evenly when beaten 5 lengths here Jan. 7. It was a good effort and came in her second back from a three month vacation. Four-year-old is capable of getting a share at a big price.
4th pick: #7 (Maura's Forever) (20-1) - Another longshot, daughter of 'War Front' raced very wide here Dec. 17. Filly finished three lengths in back of 'Boom Boom Boom' that afternoon and she has more early speed than most. May hold down a slice at a huge odds.
