Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #3 (HER LATEST FILM) (6-1) - Nicely bred filly has been on the sidelines since missing by just under a length sprinting at this level on the Belmont turf. A 4yo daughter of 'War Front', she's stretching back out in distance and has John Velazquez aboard. Think she has a good shot at a square price in a contest where you should box your bets.
2nd pick: #4 (More Mojo) (10-1) - Longshot raced both wide and evenly in an 'off the turf' sprint in the mud at Churchill Downs Oct. 31. It was her first race in almost 13 months and she most likely needed it for conditioning purposes. Working above average at Payson Park, she's stretching out in distance while switching to the grass.
3rd pick: #11 (I Wonder) (6-1) - Canadian bred filly missed by a 1/2 length at this level and distance Oct. 7 at Woodbine in a contest that was taken 'off the turf' and run on the all-weather main track there. The 4yo daughter of 'Arch' has Javier Castellano aboard and is a threat if able to avoid a wide trip.
4th pick: #7 (Circleofcompetence) (7-2) - A $300,000 filly by 'Curlin', she raced both wide and evenly while never in contention when debuting in a grass sprint at Belmont Sept. 21. Trainer Chad Brown (25% second time out) stretches her out in distance (29%), and has Irad Ortiz Jr taking the mount. Look for a much better effort today.
5th pick: #10 (Aspen Summer) (4-1) - She missed by a 'head' here when debuting here last February going 9 furlongs on the grass. Probably injured that day, she did not run again until Nov 23 at Aqueduct where she tired badly in an 'off the turf' contest. She's worked three times at Payson Park heading into this attempt and Jose Ortiz is on her for the third straight time.
