This speedy filly had won her previous pair and enters off a sharp half-mile breeze Feb. 10. Trainer Saffie Joseph, Jr. is having a great meet (18 of 62, 29%), and this filly has Irad Ortiz aboard for the first time.
3rd pick: #11 (Hill Valley) (6-1) - Freshened up since Dec. 27, home bred filly has won two in a row with both coming at today's seven-furlong distance. She has stalking ability while her outside post can be used to her advantage. Price play.
4th pick: #10 (Midnight Miracle) (5-1) - She won at six furlongs for a $25K price tag Jan. 10 in her first race in two months and first outside of California. The win made her three for six overall, and she was claimed that day by Jane Cibelli. Daughter of 'Midnight Lute' has a stalking style and must be left in the mix.
