Top pick: #5 (POLISHED) - Bred to be a good horse ("Mineshaft") he's actuelly won three of his last six starts but was disqualified in one. Much improverd late in '09 he comes into this off a win at Churchill Downs on Nov. 25 racing for $15K to clear the 2l condition. He has a nice recent drill at Palm Meadows and has previous experience over this surface. The horse to beat.
2nd pick: #4 (Comprise) - He's one of three entered here to have a win on this surface and his overall local record is very good (8-1-3-3-). One run type stretches-out off a third-place finish sprinting here just 10 days ago. Think he'll do well at nice odds.
3rd pick: #6 (Cozzene's Destiny) - New York shipper has been working like a new horse isn't shipping south and he has races in his past that put him in this. Could impact this late with a late kick.
4th pick: #1 (Storm Slew) - The main speed he draws the rail and runs third back off a long layoff (6 1/2 months). He won here sprinting last March and appears to rounding back into shape off the rest. Threat at nice odds from his inside post.
